Hamilton Island transfers can be arranged from the Whitsundays mainland town of Airlie Beach, nearby Shute Harbour or by air from many of Australia's major citys. Ferry transfers run on a regular schedule from both Able Point Marina in Airlie beach and Shute harbour and helicopter transfers are also available from the mainland. All major domstic airlines have regular sheduled flights from Cairns in the north or from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne to the south. Jetstar, Qantas and Virgin Blue all service the Great Barrier Reef airport located on Hamilton Island itself.
